Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) Club
Franklin students – we are excited and ready to begin our second year of Gay Straight Alliance Club here at Franklin Middle School. Our first meeting is Wednesday, September 28th right after school from 2:45-3:45 in Room 219. Please join us to see what we’re all about and how you can be a part of making a difference at Franklin! If you have any questions please see Ms. Zimmerman or Ms. Gomez.
Calling all Future Educators
Have you ever wanted to know what a teacher does all day? Are you thinking about a possible career in education? Would you like to volunteer in classrooms? A new club is forming at Franklin that allows you to have a front row seat to what a teacher’s job entails. If this sounds interesting come to our first informational meeting Tuesday, September 27 at 2:50 in room 214. If you can’t make the meeting, but are interested please see either Mrs. Mellberg in room 214 or Mrs. Gilbride in room 206. We look forward to working with you this year!!

Chess Club
Chess Club is this Thursday, the 29th. Everyone is welcome and hot pizza will be served.
Soccer
6th grade Soccer worked extremely hard in yesterday’s game, vastly improving from the first time they faced Red Smith and even received compliments from the other team’s coaches. Way to go guys.
7th and 8th grade Team 1 Soccer fought until the very last whistle in yesterday’s game against Red Smith! Ms. Cornelissen could not have asked for more hardworking players because the team gave it everything they had with only 1 sub. We are so proud of you! Go Bobcats!
Volleyball
Coach Porter’s 7th grade volleyball team played hard against DePere last night, but came shy of the win. There was lots of rallying back and forth, way to be, keep up the hard work. New servers on the rise are Kimberlin Alverez and Elizabeth Woodworth.
Coach Danica’s 8th grade volleyball team lost a tough match to De Pere. We had some new servers on the rise: Grace Krause and Camille Romans. Nice job! Please come support us next Monday at home against Edison.
