IB Learner Profile Trait Communicators

Respect
Students please walk on the sidewalk on your way home. Please do not walk on neighbors grass or take things from there yards. Be respectful of other people property.

Chess Club
Chess Club is this Thursday after school in room 202. You do not have to know how to play. Come and learn or just watch. Hot pizza will be ready for those who attend. See you this Thursday at Chess Club after school in room 202

Fight the Hunger Event
2nd Annual Fight the Hunger Event September 24: The Franklin and Red Smith Football teams are hungry to play Football to help the community. On Saturday, September 24, the two teams will play at West High School for the 2nd annual Fight the Hunger event. There will be two football games played; the 7th grade game will begin at 5:00 p.m. and the 8th grade game at 6:30 p.m.  Franklin and Red Smith will not only compete on the field, but the middle schools will also compete to win a food drive contest. Each school will have a bin set-up at the games for attendees to bring non-perishable food items to support a local pantry.

PBIS
This Friday is our first PBIS incentive. For just 3 bobcat bucks you can buy a sticker from your first hour teacher to wear a hat all day

Student Council
Franklin Student Council is looking for members! Come join us for an information meeting on September 26th at 3pm in room 222. Stop and learn all about the great things we are going to do this year! Ask Ms. McKeefry in room 222 or Mrs. Roubal in room 233 for more information!

Volleyball
Coach Zelzer and Coach Danica’s 8th grade volleyball team lost the match to Red Smith last night. The last game was close 14-17. Let’s get a win against Lombardi/Bay View on Thursday.

Coach Porter’s 7th grade team won one of their games against Red Smith and had 4 other very close games. Top servers were Gisselle, Shauna, and Kimberlen. Better luck next time!

Coach Casey’s 7th Grade Lady Bobcats won their match against the Red Smith Raptors last night on the road.  Justice Vang was on fire serving.  She had 6 serves in a row and 11 total serves.  Kenley Knight had 3 serves and an amazing spike‼ Other top servers were Molly Jones, Jimena Robles, and Ana Zavaleta. Way to go girls. Keep up the hard work.

Show Choir
Tonight is the night for our first show choir meeting and practice. You need to attend this meeting if you are interested in being in the group this year. Our student/parent meeting is from 5:30-6:00 and our first practice will be from 6:00-7:00 tonight. Please enter the building through our activities door. This is also where your parents should pick you up at 7:00. Paperwork should be turned in already, but if you don't have that done see Mrs. Rego today to get another copy. Let's make this the best Franklin Show Choir in the history of Franklin Show Choir!! See you tonight!
