IB Learner Profile Trait
The IB learner profile trait for October is Inquirers. We nurture our curiosity, developing skills for inquiry and research. We know how to learn independently and with others. We learn with enthusiasm and sustain our love of learning throughout life. As humans we are naturally curious. How do you nurture your curiosity and develop your skills for inquiry in class? Do you like to learn alone or with others? Does it depend on what you are learning? Are you an enthusiastic learner? Do you love to learn new things? Are you an inquirer? Do you ask lots of questions and then go look for solutions or answers?

Garden Club
Franklin students, Garden Club is tomorrow after school at 3:00 in room 207. If you are interested in growing plants, flowers, vegetables, making snacks with fresh produce, and making crafts using nature come to room 207 at 3:00 tomorrow!

Fitness Club
Franklin Fitness Club starts today from 3-3:30. We will meet just outside the school store to start. Fitness Club will meet every Monday and Thursday until April. We promise 30 minutes of intense workout each time, with a lot of variations, focusing on different fitness techniques each day. We try to tailor our workout for the group who comes that particular day and can work with all different fitness levels. We hope to see you after school! Student Council 
Student Council is sponsoring a Fall Social on November 2nd after school from 3-5pm. There will be games, ping pong, sports, dancing with music from DJ Haze, concessions, and a fun time to socialize with friends. Tickets will be on sale during the lunch hours for $2 or 15 Bobcat Bucks. Don’t wait until the last minute because the price will go up to $3 or 20 Bobcat Bucks on the last day. Don’t forget to wear your ID card, if you need an ID they are still on sale for $3.00! See you there!  

Talent Show
Tonight’s talent show practice is very important. We will have a full dress run through of the show starting at 3:00. See Ms. Gigurere or Mrs. Rego with any questions.  

Students and staff, tonight is the night for the annual Franklin Talent Show! We have amazing musicians and dancers that want to perform for you. The show is at 7:00 in the Franklin Auditorium. Make arrangements with your parents so you can come to this fantastic show. Rumor has it there will even be a teacher act, come on out and watch your teachers perform for you!

LMC Trivia
The LMC trivia question from last week was: What is the name of the cowboy in Toy Story? The answer is Woody. Congratulations Claire Pasterski, please come to the LMC to claim your prize! 

The question for this week is: What animal has the largest ears? If you do not know the answer, you can come to the LMC and Google it!

Chromebooks
Students, if you do not have your Chromebook, please come check the LMC so your Chromebook can get charged in your Chromeroom overnight.

Future Educators Club
Have you ever wondered what a teacher does all day besides drink coffee and grade papers? You can find out by joining the Future Educators Club. Come join us to get a behind the scene look at what it takes to be an educator. We will meet Monday, November 5th at 2:40 in room 214. If you are unable to attend that meeting we will also meet on Tuesday, November 6th at 7 a.m. Please enter through door 18. Treats will be provided. See Mrs. Mellberg or Mrs. Gilbride if you are interested, but unable to attend.
