STATEMENT TO FRANKLIN STUDENTS
On Thursday, October 27th during 6th hour, we will be holding a rally point drill. This will be the first of several emergency drills that we will regularly practice in Green Bay schools. You will always be notified in advance of our practice drills. The purpose, much like fire drills, is to prepare you for an emergency. In this specific drill we will be practicing evacuation from the building to our nearest rally point. Evacuating the building and moving to a rally point is a decision we would make if there were an intruder inside the building. If an intruder were inside the building, someone would make an announcement, providing us with as much information as possible. In an actual event, we could either run, hide or fight.  For this upcoming drill we will be evacuating. We will have instructions for you during the drill. It is extremely important that you cooperate and take this drill seriously, as if it were an actual emergency. When the drill begins, please follow the teacher’s instructions quietly and quickly. Now is the time to ask any questions about the rally point drill. (Teachers, ask students if they have any questions, be as honest as possible. Keep student discussion appropriate.) Please share this information with your parents. We will inform your parents as well. Thank you for your cooperation.
