Fall Social
The Halloween Social will be on October 26th from 3-5pm! There will be dancing, activities, a costume competition, and snacks. Buy tickets for $2 or two cans of food during lunch today. Tickets are $3 on the 26th! Save money and buy early. You will need an ID to attend the dance, don’t forget! Student Council will be having a costume competition during the fall social on October 26th. Students are welcome to dress up in any costume appropriate for school during the social. Costumes will not be allowed during the school day. Masks, weapons, painted faces, and costumes inappropriate for school will not be acceptable.

Please remember, ID cards are on sale for $3.00 in the Main Office this week. If you will be purchasing tickets for, or attending, the Social, you will need an ID card!

GSA

Our next Gay Straight Alliance Club meeting is Tuesday, October 24th, after school, in room 219 from 2:45-3:45. Come see what we’re all about! Plan activities with us! If you have any questions see Ms. Wolke or Ms. Zimmerman.

Homework Huddle

Students, do you need assistance with homework? The Homework Huddle is available to you Monday-Thursday from 2:45-3:30 in room 150.

Red Ribbon Week

Join GSA and Student Council in celebrating Red Ribbon Week this week. Each day will be a different drug free theme. Tomorrow will be “Team up with us to be drug free” by wearing your favorite team jersey or clothing. During lunch, sign the pledge to be drug free. Wednesday, “Don’t get Mixed up with drugs” and show your best mismatching! On Thursday we will “Be our own heroes and say no to drugs” by dressing like a super hero. During lunch we will be making a healthy choice graffiti wall!

Title VI Indian Education

Indian Education will be meeting in room 221 after school today, to work on our project for veterans. See you after school!

Library

The Franklin PTO and LMC would like to thank all staff, students, and parents for supporting the Book Fair. Congratulations to these winners of the “I Wish I Could Win” drawing at the Book Fair. Wednesday's winners were Gabriela Ramires and Zachary Ward. Thursday’s winners were Brianna Ortiz and Berk Geldmeyer.

IB Buzz
We meet today after school until 3:45pm. We do not meet this Thursday due to the Social.

Battle of the Books

Any teams interested in Battle of the Books must turn in their team form to the LMC by next week Wednesday, November 1st. You must also have a co-curricular form signed and turn in to the main office.

LMC Trivia

The LMC trivia question for last week was: What is the name of the fairy in Peter Pan? The answer is Tinker Bell and the winner is Piper Mehling. Congratulations Piper! You can come to the LMC to claim your prize! 

The question for this week is, What is the currency of Japan? Remember you can stop in before school, before lunch or after school to use the computer to find the answer. Stop in the LMC and try to win the trivia this week!

Elementary Schools
Students, you are asked to please not be on any elementary schools campuses after school unless you are picking up siblings. Failing to follow this request will result in consequences!
