Battle of the Books
Hey, hey, hey, all you readers, sign up for Battle of the Books in the Library Media Center. Teams must be signed up by Friday, October 26th.

IB Buzz 
IB Buzz team, our meetings will be on Mondays from 2:50-3:30pm in the LMC. Please let Mrs. Vraney know if you have any questions.

Book Fair Winners

And now the winners of the ‘I Wish I could Win’ drawing at the Book Fair, congratulations to Maximus Schreiber and Jayvion Wilson! Maximus and Jayvion, please come to the Library to claim your books. Students, the Book Fair will be open during all the parent teacher conferences. Be sure to stop in!

Basketball

Attention boys 7/8th grade basketball players there is a mandatory meeting after school on Thursday, October 18th, from 3:00-4:00 in room 110. You must attend this meeting in order to play basketball. Make sure you have all your forms turned in to Mrs. Ha in the Main Office.

Volleyball

Any 7th grade girl volleyball player who borrowed knee pads from Franklin, please return them to Coach Gus ASAP.

Student Council
Bring in can goods and non- perishable foods, Student Council is working with West High School and the Green Bay Packers to Stock the Box Against Hunger! Turn in any canned items to the Main Office or during lunch to earn Bobcat Bucks and a chance to win an autographed Packer football helmet! 

Student Council is sponsoring a Fall Social on November 2nd after school from 3-5pm. There will be games, ping pong, sports, dancing with music from DJ Haze, concessions, and a fun time to socialize with friends. Tickets will be on sale during the lunch hours starting October 22 for $2 or 15 Bobcat Bucks. Don’t wait until the last minute because the price will go up to $3 or 20 Bobcat Bucks on the last day. Don’t forget to wear your ID, IDs will be on sale starting Monday for $3.00! See you there! 

Homework Huddle
No Homework Huddle tonight due to the faculty meeting. There will be no Homework Huddle on Thursday, October 18th because of Parent Teacher conferences. 

International Day for the Eradication of Poverty

The International Day for the Eradication of Poverty began on October 17, 1987, in Paris, France, to honor the people living in extreme poverty. In 1993, the United Nations officially recognized October 17th as a day to renew our awareness of the needs across the world and work together eliminate extreme poverty.

Safe Routes
We are asking Chromeroom teachers to complete a Safe Routes Student Tally today.

Golden Apple

Students, please don't forget to nominate that teacher who has made a difference in your life for the Golden Apple Award. You can pick up a form in the office and return it to the office, we will mail it in for you. You can also complete the form on-line. The deadline for all nominations is October 31st.
