IB Learner Profile Trait (Thinkers)

Hat Day
Tomorrow Thursday, March 9th is Hat Day! For just 5 Bobcat Bucks you can wear a hat during the day. Are you going to rock a stocking cap, fedora or cowboy hat? 

Book Donation
Do you have extra books you don’t read? Well through the end of March, you can donate books to the library! The box for the book drive is in the library, starting this week. Please only donate books that are new or gently used.

Attention all Book Club Members

Book Club meets tomorrow during lunch. Be ready to discuss stories from our Wonder Book. That’s Book Club tomorrow during lunch in the LMC! Attention Art students who have been selected to participate in the WPS Fine Arts Show, the Franklin Middle School Festival of Fine Arts Reception is tonight at the downtown Wisconsin Public Service building. Artwork will be on display for your viewing, along with music performed by Jazz Band. Guests can begin arriving at 5:30pm. If you have any questions please see your art and/or music teacher. We hope to see you there!

Basketball Results
Coach Danica’s 6th grade boys’ basketball team lost a close game to Washington last night 29-34.  The team came back but didn’t have enough time to pull out the win. Scorers were: Draven Scray, Riley Goodletson, Marlon Padilla, Cory Welsh, and Logan Hegnet.

Coach Gus’ team had a very exciting game last night and defeated Washington 47-20. Scoring for the Bobcats were Maurice Scott with 22 pts., Jerontae Davis put in 8, Frank Badillo-Beyer added 7, Chad Brown put in 6 and Juan Gomez added 2! Great Game everyone. Come support the boys on Thursday for a Home game against Red Smith

The Little Mermaid
Tonight’s rehearsal is for everyone involved in the song Under the Sea. We will need to have Sebastian, the Mersisters, Sea Chorus, Ariel and Flounder at practice tonight. Please be on stage at 2:50.

Chess Club
Chess club is today in room 202 after school. You don’t have to know how to play to participate. See you in 202 after school today. Hot pizza will be served.

Wrestling Results

The Franklin wrestling team had its final meet of the season last night against Red Smith and Denmark. Franklin wrestlers earning wins by points include: Fernando Sanabria-Nieves with a score of 10-0, Exzavion Shepard with a score of 9-2, and Luis Quinones with a score of 6-4. Wrestlers earning wins by pin include: Fernando Sanabria-Nieves and Devin Ross. Both pins were in the first period. Awesome job wrestlers, and congratulations on a fantastic season. Please remember our wrestling party will be on Thursday, immediately after school in the bistro.  

LMC Trivia
The trivia question from last week was:  In “Finding Nemo”, what is Nemo’s dads name? The answer is “Marlin” and the winner is Yari Gonzalez. Please come to the LMC and claim your prize.

WPS

Last night the Franklin Middle School Festival of Fine Arts Reception was held at Wisconsin Public Service. We celebrated the many talents of our art and music students at Franklin Middle School. Thank you Jazz Band for their fantastic performance!

A big congratulations to all of the students who had their artwork on display! The following students have been selected to have their two-dimensional artwork professionally framed and on display at WPS for the year.
