Our next meeting is the Tuesday right after Spring Break, March 27th, after school in Room 219. Our last meeting was cancelled due to the snow day so we missed seeing you all. Softball
Any girls interested in playing softball for Franklin, please come to one of our informational meetings today or March 27th from 2:45-3:00 in the Bistro. We look forward to seeing you.
5K Family Fun Walk
Franklin students and families, Franklin will be having 5K Fun Walk on Saturday, May 5, 2018. Registration begins at 9:00-9:45 am with the walk starting at 10:00 am, the walk will take place here at Franklin. The first 100 people to sign up will get a free tee shirt but we want as many people as possible to participate. Sign up ends Friday, April 13th. The purpose of this event is to bring the Franklin Middle School community together and show our community our Purple Pride! An email was sent to your parents with signup information.
World Water Day
The theme for 2018’s World Water Day is “Nature-based Solutions for Water”. World Water Day is on Thursday March 22nd. In 1993, the United Nations General Assembly designated March 22nd as the first World Water Day. World Water Day is a day to celebrate water and to make a difference for the members of the global population who suffer from water related issues. It’s also a day to prepare for how we manage water in the future. This month, think about how much water you use and try to imagine your life without water.

Basketball
The 6th grade boys’ basketball team took on Red Smith last night. The Bobcats came up a little short in game one but had a very exciting comeback victory in game 2. Scoring points in game 2 were Jaysean Wright with 13, Charlie Kensmoe with 11 and Juan Garza Gomez scored 3. Great game!
Coach Zelzer and Coach Casey’s team took a loss against Red Smith. Get them next time ladies.
