Chess Club
Chess club is tomorrow in room 202 after school and hot pizza will be served. Bring a friend and have fun at chess club.
Student Council
Student Council is now selling tickets for the Sweetheart Social on February 10th. The social will be from 3-5 after school. You can buy your tickets during lunch hours starting today. Tickets are $2 or 2 cans of food. If you wait until the last minute, ticket prices increase. So buy your tickets today!
Supplies Needed
One of our IB groups is making chew toys for the Humane Society. They are in need of materials to make their toys. Preferably denim would be best but if you have anything that would be tough enough for chew toys we will take it. Please bring any old jeans or material to Room 310. Thank-you!

Any girls interested in a Pom clinic that will perform at half time of the Girls Varsity Basketball game at Southwest high school with the Toyette’s please come to the main office to pick up a flyer.
Great Decisions student winners at Franklin
The following students were nominated by teachers to attend Great Decisions. Students will have the opportunity to develop and deepen their understanding of global issues through reading complex texts and having deep discussions. It is quite an honor to be selected. The students who were nominated are: Colin VanDam, Sydney Sajec, Garrison Hehl, Skylar Schultz, Sophia White, and Zandra Miller. Please congratulate these students for being selected for this opportunity and embracing this challenge.
Wrestling
Our Franklin wrestling team had their first home meet of the season last night against Washington and Denmark. Our wrestlers enjoyed a lot of success! Wrestlers earning wins by points include: Fernando Sanabria-Nieves with a score of 2-1. D’Andre Mixon with a score of 6-0. Jayden Harding with a score of 4-0. Devin Ross with an impressive 4-2 win, and Zeck Loos with two wins 4-1 and 6-0. Wrestlers earning wins by pins include: Deziree Mixon with a speedy 25 sec. pin. Luis Quinones had two pins, one in 29 sec and another in 1 min and 20 sec. D’Andre Mixon also had a pin in 1 min and 30 sec. Awesome job wrestlers!! Our wrestling team has our last home meet of the season next week Tuesday. We hope to see everybody there.
Show Choir
If you were not at show choir practice last night you need to see Mrs. Rego before you go home today.
The Little Mermaid Call Back Auditions
Call back auditions are tonight after school. If you got an invitation to audition again, please be in the choir room by 2:50 ready to go. If you did not get an invitation, you are still in the show. EVERYONE INVOLVED in the show, including crews, should report to our first rehearsal tomorrow after school in the auditorium. See Mrs. Rego or Ms. Mattek with any questions.
