Chess Club
Chess club is this Wednesday in room 202 after school and hot pizza will be served. Teach a friend who doesn’t know how to play and have fun.

6th grade Basketball

Coach Danica’s 6th grade boys’ basketball team lost a first tough game away against Edison. Every one worked hard and cheered one another on. Good luck against Washington on Wednesday.

Coach Casey’s 6th grade Lady Bobcats basketball team lost their first game against Edison. The girls played hard! Scoring for the Lady Bobcats were Desiyre Stevens with 8 points and Lanae Steel with 1. Looking forward to our game next week against Washington.

Coach Zelzer’s team defeated Edison 29-13 in their first home game. The girls played hard to the end. Scoring for the Lady Bobcats with Ashaunte Williams scoring 25 points, Mya Ninham with 2 points and Alyson Bardwell with 2 points. Way to go ladies! See you after school at practice!

Scholastic Book Fair
Our Scholastic Book Fair will be open this week, from today until Thursday. Watch for coupons in your lockers! Every day some lucky students will win free books! Tell your parents to come and shop at the fair Thursday night during Parent-Teacher Conferences. See you at the Book Fair!

LMC Trivia

The trivia question from last week was:  In which year did the Titanic sink? The answer is “1912” and the winner is Ricky Miller. Please come to the LMC and claim your prize.  

The question for this week is:  In “Finding Nemo”, what is Nemo’s dads name?  Good Luck!

Lunch Collection

Today, and the rest of the week, at lunch three of your classmates will be collecting data of trash and food waste. Please help us by sorting what you toss in the garbage cans, and place them in the correct bins. We will have bins for trash and bins for food waste. 

Student Council
Student council is running the Pennies for Patients campaign. Help find a cure for blood cancers and win prizes, such as Olive Garden lunch! Bring any change you have to your homeroom teacher now through March 3rd. 

Supplies Needed
One of our IB groups is making chew toys for the Humane Society. They are in need of materials to make their toys. Preferably denim would be best but if you have anything that would be tough enough for chew toys we will take it. Please bring any old jeans or material to Room 310. 

Band Solo & Ensemble
A reminder to all Band Solo & Ensemble participants: Your first piano rehearsal is today. Please be sure to get to the band room at the time on your pink pass. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Baker.

Show Choir

The Franklin Show Choir had an amazing concert this past weekend with the WI Singers. They did a fantastic job and had a great experience with the WI Singers. Our kids even learned one of the WI Singer dances‼ If you didn’t get a chance to see this concert and would like to see the Franklin Show Choir, we have another concert tomorrow night, right here at Franklin. The Franklin Pops Concert will be from 7:00-7:30 tomorrow evening and will feature the Franklin Show Choir and the Franklin Jazz Band. This is a free concert, we hope to see you there!
