International Mother Tongue Day (International Mother Language Day)
The United Nations recognizes, and celebrates this day, to honor all languages and the important role language has in maintaining cultural traditions throughout the world.

Did you know that more than 50% of the approximately 7,000 languages spoken in the world are likely to die out within a few generations? Did you know that 96% of these languages are spoken by a mere 4% of the world's population? Did you know that only a few hundred languages are genuinely used in the education systems and the public domain? Did you know that less than 100 languages are used in the digital world?

Student Apparel
Today is the last day for staff and students to order school apparel. Students, be sure to have your order forms in the office today. Staff be sure to place your orders online by the end of the day. 

Homework Huddle
Students, do you need assistance with homework? The Homework Huddle is available to you Monday-Thursday from 2:45-3:30 in room 150. Computers are available for you to use but you must have a pass from a teacher giving details on what you will be working on. Please remember, the electronics policy applies to Homework Huddle.

Student Council - Pennies for Patients
Approximately every 3 minutes one person in the United States (US) is diagnosed with a blood cancer. You can help by bringing in money for Pennies for Patients. Each math class will be competing to raise the most money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Not only can you help victims of blood cancers, but you can win an Olive Garden lunch, donuts, chips, or other cool prizes! Approximately every 9 minutes, someone in the US dies from a blood cancer. You can help by bringing in money for Pennies for Patients. Each math class will be competing to raise the most money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Not only can you help victims of blood cancers, but you can win an Olive Garden lunch, donuts, chips, or other cool prizes! 

Socks 4 Kidz
Did you know that the items homeless people need most are socks?  Help support this cause by donating socks from February 15-23rd.  A bucket labeled Socks for Kidz can be found in the bistro.  Please consider putting socks in the box!

POPS
POPS is today during lunch in room 202. Bring your lunch and enjoy POPS.
