Chess Club
Chess club is tomorrow in the Bistro right after school until 3:45. Bring a friend have some fun learning how to play chess. Hot pizza will be served

Student Apparel
Any student interested in purchasing school apparel, please be sure to stop in the office to pick up an order form. You can also pick a sheet up in the lunch room. Orders must be in by Tuesday, Feb. 20th.

Homework Huddle
Students, do you need assistance with homework? The Homework Huddle is available to you Monday-Thursday from 2:45-3:30 in room 150. Computers are available for you to use but you must have a pass from a teacher giving details on what you will be working on. Please remember, the electronics policy applies to Homework Huddle.

Socks 4 Kidz
Did you know that the items homeless people need most are socks? Help support this cause by donating socks from February 15-23rd. A bucket labeled Socks for Kidz can be found in the bistro. Please consider putting socks in the box!

Gay Straight Alliance Club
Our next meeting is Tuesday, February 20th after school in Room 219. Come and join us in a judgment free zone for all! Please see Ms. Zimmerman or Ms. Wolke with any questions.

Student Council
Thank you to all students who brought in Box Tops. We received almost 1200 box tops to give money to our school. We have one class who had the most Box tops with 194. This class will win donuts to celebrate! Congratulations Ms. Mattek’s 6th hour class! Ms. McKeefry’s 5th hour class came in a close second place with 170 and Ms. Giguere’s 4th hour came in third with 147. 

Approximately every 3 minutes one person in the United States (US) is diagnosed with a blood cancer. You can help by bringing in money for Pennies for Patients. Each math class will be competing to raise the most money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Not only can you help victims of blood cancers, but you can win an Olive Garden lunch, donuts, chips, or other cool prizes! 
 
LMC Trivia
The LMC trivia question for last week was: Who was the first African American woman with a pilot's license? The answer is Bessie Coleman and the winner is Juan Perez Medrano. Congratulations Juan! You can come to the LMC to claim your prize! The question for this week is: What African American was famous for refusing to give up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, AL? Again, What African American was famous for refusing to give up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, AL? February is Black history month and the LMC is celebrating by having a word search contest. Stop in the LMC to grab your form. There will be 10 winners drawn from the entries.

IB Buzz
IB Buzz Crew, there is a meeting today after school from 2:45-3:30.
