Lightning Tournament at Franklin
Who is interested in winning a few extra dollars? How about helping our hungry community members? Well, we have the fun way that you can do both. Tonight at 3:00 there will be a Lightning Tournament. Tickets Are 2 non-perishable food items per person or $3. Registration starts at 2:50, Monday, February 12, the competition will start at 3:00 PM and be done by 4:00 PM. Tournament will be in the small gym. All donations go to Paul's Pantry. See Kervin Pena, Mikklo Vasquez or Erik Roblero with any questions.
Art Club
Art Club is Thursday this week from 3:00 to 4:00 in room 207 Join Ms. Gronke and Ms. Mach and make some fun projects after school and socialize with friends! You do not have to be in art to be a part of Art Club!
Student Apparel
Any student interested in purchasing school apparel, please be sure to stop in the office to pick up an order form. You can also pick a sheet up in the lunch room. Orders must be in by Tuesday, Feb. 20th.
Book Drive
Franklin students, we need your help! Do you have books you’ve read and no longer need? Are they still in good shape? If so, we would like them! Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books has the last round of competition this Wednesday, February 14 for all teams. The competition starts right after school.
Homework Huddle
Students, do you need assistance with homework? The Homework Huddle is available to you Monday-Thursday from 2:45-3:30 in room 150. Computers are available for you to use but you must have a pass from a teacher giving details on what you will be working on. Please remember, the electronics policy applies to Homework Huddle.
LMC Trivia
The LMC trivia question for last week was: Which female African American was titled "the conductor" of the Underground Railroad? The answer is Harriet Tubman and the winner is Destiny Mixon. Congratulations Destiny, you can come to the LMC to claim your prize.
The question for this week is: Who was the first African American woman with a pilot's license? Again, who was the first African American woman with a pilot's license? You can stop in before school, before lunch or after school to use the computer to find the answer.
February is Black history month and the LMC is celebrating by having a word search contest. There will be 10 winners drawn from the entries.
