World AIDS Day
Today is World AIDS Day! This day is an opportunity to raise awareness, commemorate those who have died of HIV/AIDS, and celebrate victories such as increased access to treatment and prevention services. The theme for this year’s World AIDS Days is: Getting to Zero - “Zero new HIV infections. Zero discrimination. Zero AIDS-related deaths.”

West Futures
On Saturday our West Futures Basketball teams 6th, 7th, and 8th grades will play at West H.S. with 8th grade starting at 8am. Please come out and support West Futures!

Combined Band Rehearsals
A reminder to all band students that combined band rehearsals start today! 8th grade band members should all be in the auditorium right now during 1st hour. 7th grade will be meeting 2nd hour, and 6th grade will be meeting during 3rd hour. Attendance will be taken at the beginning of each rehearsal so please report to the band room immediately at the beginning of your designated hour.

Future Leaders Meeting 
Future Leaders of America is still looking for members‼ We will have a meeting tonight after school from 2:45 to 3:15, if you want to check it out.  Any 6th grader interested in attending can come during 6th hour lunch. Come to Mrs. Weller’s room before lunch, and she will write you a pass. Her room number is 317. We will be playing games to develop our leadership skills. We hope to see you there‼
