Earth Day
Earth Day is Sunday April 22. Earth Day was founded in 1970 by Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson and was first celebrated in 1970 to bring awareness to ecology and the importance of respecting life on our planet, as well as, to bring awareness of the growing problem of air, water and soil pollution.

Hat Day
Today is Hat day!  For just five Bobcat Bucks and a sticker from your 1st hour teacher you can wear your hat all day!  

Kindness Day
Today Franklin is celebrating acts of kindness. Has anyone ever made your day by saying something nice, or by helping you with something? Start thinking about something small that you could do to help someone else. Maybe it's just saying hi to someone you never talk to. Maybe it is sitting by that kid who sits alone all the time, or maybe it is helping someone who is struggling in your class. After all, as Mark Twain once said, “Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” 

Gay Straight Alliance Club
Our next meeting is next Tuesday, April 24th, after school in Room 219. Whether you have been to GSA before or not, come and join us in a judgment free zone for all!

Student Council
Student Council is sponsoring the last social of the year. The Spring Social will be April 27th, after school from 3-5pm. Tickets will be on sale during the lunch hours April 19-27th for $2 or 15 Bobcat bucks. Do not wait until the last minute the price will go up to $3 or 20 Bobcat Bucks on the last day. Don’t forget, you must have an ID card, they are on sale in the main office for $3.00! See you there! 

Title 6
Title 6 Indian Education will have its next family night on Tuesday April 24th, from 5-7 pm at West High School. See the flyers in the cafeteria for more information. Hope to see you there

8th Grade Football 
Hey freshman football players! Please bring your parents to meet the new football coach on Wednesday, April 25th, at 3:30 pm in the Thune Center. The parent/athlete meeting will review the important information for the upcoming season. Unless you are in a spring sport, please plan on attending.
