IB Learner Profile Trait
The IB learner profile trait for April is Principled, we act with integrity and honesty, with a strong sense of fairness and justice, and with respect for the dignity and rights of people everywhere. We take responsibility for our actions and their consequences. This week, challenge yourself to act integrity and honesty in everything you do. Do you treat everyone with dignity and respect? Challenge yourself this week to treat everyone with dignity and respect. Do you take responsibility for your actions and the consequences for those actions? 

Track 
Reminder to all track athletes, practice starts tonight right after school until 4:40. We will meet in the small gym. 

Book Club
6th grade Book Club, our meeting is rescheduled for this Thursday, April 18th, during lunch. Be sure to bring your books.

IB Buzz
IB Buzz, we will meet today, after school, until 3:45 p.m.

Chess Club
Chess Club for next week has been changed. Chess Club will meet next Monday the 22nd, not Thursday the 25th. See you next week Monday for Chess Club in room 111. Bring a friend and have fun playing chess.

Football players
Attention football players, attention football players! Any 8th graders interested in playing a sport at West High School next year, meet in the Cafeteria right after school on Thursday, April 18th. Coaches and athletes from West will be there to tell you about joining their teams. Stop by and learn about West sports and our summer programs. Again all athletes, right after school on Thursday in the cafeteria!

OMG Fact
Today’s OMG fact is: The total weight of bacteria living in the human body is 4.4 pounds.

Announcement about shirts
Students, as the warmer weather approaches, this is a reminder that shirts and T-shirts need to be FULL shirts that cover the middle area of the body (belly, back, etc.). Also, tank tops or strap tops that are worn need to have the larger/thicker straps. 

Shout outs
Today’s positive shout outs go to: Abigail Kunstman, Quintesha Johnson, Haydin Ness, and Abigail Kunstman for helping out another student in art class! Quinteasha Johnson and Hayden Ness helped Miss French carry up headphones and privacy boards to my room for testing today.
