We are proud to offer the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme. Our mission is to guide and develop lifelong learners who use cooperative skills and their knowledge to positively impact our diverse world.
Franklin Middle School is home to the greatest number of educators who have earned the title “Teacher of Distinction,” and who are recipients of the coveted Golden Apple Award than any other school in our District. As a family that boasts of our highly diverse population, we are the school of choice as we encompass the vision, the plan, and the learning community that works toward continuous improvement for our neighborhood school.

We are an authorized public IB Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) in our area. This program provides students unique and rigorous instruction wrapped in global awareness and authentic learning opportunities. Students who study in the IB MYP are well prepared for high school, advanced coursework, and have a solid foundation for post-secondary education.
We have many enriching co-curricular opportunities for students, including: Girls and Boys Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Softball, soccer, Tennis, Track, Volleyball, Wrestling, Art Club, Board Game Club, Forensics, Gay Straight Alliance, Memory Book, Newspaper Club, School Play/Musical, Show Choir, Student Council, Talent Show, Jazz Band, Theater Tech Club, and Cross Fitness Club.
